Overview

Northern Vietnam's mountains in one short, all-arranged trip from Bangkok. Your Vietnam Airlines flights, 4-star hotel, 7 meals, transport and the Fansipan cable car are included.

You ride the cable car up Fansipan, the highest mountain in Indochina at 3,143 metres, and see the giant bronze Buddha near the summit. You take the red mountain train from Sapa town, walk the Rong May glass bridge above the valley, visit the misty hill town of Tam Dao, and spend an evening at Mega Grand World near Hanoi.

This trip starts and ends in Bangkok. If you are coming from Canada or elsewhere, book your own flights to Bangkok and plan to arrive at least one day before.

1. SapaSapa town & the Rong May glass bridge

   Sun Plaza and the old station building in the centre of Sapa, the terraced valleys around the town, and the Rong May glass bridge on the O Quy Ho pass. Dinner is a hotpot meal looking out over the mountains.

2. FansipanMountain train, cable car & the summit

   The red mountain train from Sun Plaza to the cable car station, then the cable car up Fansipan to the temples and the giant bronze Buddha near the top.

Where you'll stay

Good to know

• This is a group tour: you travel with other guests on the same flights and bus.
• The flight out leaves Bangkok in the afternoon and the flight home leaves around noon.
• Departures depend on flight availability. We confirm your date by email after you book. If your date isn't available, you choose another date or a full refund.
• Sapa and Fansipan are high and cold. From December to February it can drop close to freezing, and the Fansipan summit is colder still, so pack warm layers. Mountain roads can be long and winding.
• Most visitors, including Canadians, need a Vietnam e-visa. Apply online on the official government site before you travel, and check that your passport is valid for at least six months.
• The glass bridge and the Fansipan cable car can close in storms or high wind. If an included visit can't run, we offer a suitable alternative or refund that part.
• Prices are per person, based on two people sharing a room. Travelling alone? Contact us for the single-room price.

Cancellation

Cancel at least 14 days before departure for a full refund. Inside that, flights and hotels are committed and we refund whatever our suppliers release.
